About Katy

Hi my name is Katy! I’m a 22 year old fear free trainer based in Baltimore, Maryland! At 17, I began working at a local kennel, which opened my eyes to the complexities of canine behavior and communication. Surrounded by a variety of dogs, I became fascinated by their individual personalities and learning styles. This experience fueled my curiosity and I decided to start training school through QC Career Studies! After a rewarding experience working at a kennel, I wanted to deepen my knowledge, so I began working as a vet tech at Companion Animal Care Center. There, I learned about fear-free vet visits, which changed my perspective on animal care and emphasized the importance of positive experiences for pets. This insight motivated me to pursue a career as a positive reinforcement trainer, allowing me to enhance the lives of animals and share compassionate training methods that prioritize their emotional well-being. Pawddicord training focuses on positive reinforcement strategies to foster a strong and trusting relationship between dogs and their owners. We avoid using shock or prong collars to prevent fear and anxiety, which can hinder effective training. By rewarding good behavior with treats, praise, and play, we create a safe and enjoyable atmosphere that not only promotes obedience but also enhances your dog's happiness and confidence!
